Kenek Sleep uses your iOS device’s audio system to power the sensor. It needs a few configurations and permissions to operate correctly. Fortunately, the required configuration is default or set for you. You will only need to look at these instructions if something isn’t working right.


iOS 14

Ensure your iOS device Headphone Accommodations is off, Mono Audio is off and the audio BALANCE is centered. Theses settings are shown in the image below.


Ensure Headphone Notifications is off and Reduce Loud Sounds is off. The Kenek pulse oximeter uses audio signals to power the sensor and these settings may interfere with its operation. These settings are shown below.


iOS 13 and Earlier

Permissions

The Kenek Sleep app needs access to the microphone to power the sensor. If this permission is not provided, then the oximeter will not work. This is how to check and set the microphone permission for Kenek Sleep.

Ensure the Kenek Sleep app has permission to use the microphone. Change the setting if required as shown in this image.


Accessibility

The factory default accessibility settings are compatible with Kenek Sleep. This is how to check and set your accessibility settings for use with Kenek Sleep.

Ensure the Mono Audio setting is disabled as shown in the image.

Ensure the balance setting is in the middle as shown in the image.


Music Settings

The factory default music settings are compatible with Kenek Sleep. This is how to check and set your music settings for use with Kenek Sleep.

Ensure the EQ (Equalizer) settings is off as shown in the image.

Ensure the Volume Limit is off as shown in the image.
